Spend a Penny, Save a Dollar

Image
I LOVE to go to thrift shops, boutiques, and resale stores for good deals. There is almost nothing more satisfying then walking in a thrift store and finding an item with the tag still on for less then 1/2 the retail price. Since moving to Michigan I have found a few stores that I always enjoy browsing and eventually buying something at. The stores are Once Upon a Child, Grow With Me, and Value World.  Once Upon a Child has great deals on Tuesdays. They call it "Tote Tuesday". If you have a tote ( you can purchase one for five dollars) you are eligible for amazing clearance price deals every Tuesday! Awesome, I know! A couple weeks ago they had a deal where every red marked item was twenty five cents...TWENTY FIVE CENTS! Of coarse I took advantage of that and spent a few dollars to get some "new" clothes for Zalen. I bought Osh Kosh, Carters, Ralph Lauren. and other top name brands for just 25 cents. The other good thing about this store is that you can sell th

North American International Auto Show

Jim and I went to the North American Auto Show in Detroit with some friends. It was a lot fun!  We were surprised at how awake Zalen was for the whole time. So many new and shiny things every where for him to look at. Jim grew up going to the Auto Shows here but this is my firs t  time. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. The best part for me was sitting in The Voice  chair. The Voice is one of my favorite shows so I was pretty overly excited for a while. ha

I'm a Big Boy Now!

Image
Zalen is such a big boy now! He loves toys, trying to hold his own bottle, taking baths, sitting up, rolling all over the floor and has started to get into eating baby food! Where has my little baby gone? He wants to explore now and talk to us about his day. He love attention and to know what's going on around him. Jim and I are so surprised at how fast he is growing and wants to be like us. Pretty soon he will be crawling around our home and getting into mischief. We love our little guy and love watching his progress every week. We are indeed very blessed parents!

Lynn Family Christmas Party

Image
Just when you think the Holiday Season is over you have another party. The Lynn After the Holiday's Christmas Party! I decided to host the Lynn family Christmas party this year. To make it possible to have a party we had to do it after the Holiday's due to the other family gatherings we had and Jim's work schedule. Some of my family I hadn't seen in years so it was a nice family reunion and lot's of catching up. I didn't realized how much work it would be to host a party and I didn't delegate like I should have. (Note to self for next year). However the Party turned out amazing and everyone had fun. We ate some delicious food, opened gifts, played games, and did a Photo Booth.  Gift table Time to eat! Family slide show and door prize sign up.
