Simple Treasures

Christmas is my favorite holiday so this post will be longer with a lot more pictures. First off I wanted to update on my migraines and Gestational Diabetes. I'm not sure if I mentioned in earlier posts that I have Gestational Diabetes but I've managed to keep it under control with dieting and exercising. I have also had a lot of migraines this pregnancy. I had migraines before I was pregnant but they have been severe and more often since being pregnant.  I went to see a Neurologist and he did an exam but found nothing of concern. He said I am having severe migraines and gave me some information and advise about migraines such as what can trigger them and preventative measures..etc. I'm glad that it's nothing serious but it still makes me nervous when I get one that numbs my arm and hand or takes away part of my vision, even if it's only for a few minutes.   In other news, Jim  made an A in one of the two classes he took this semester. First off I want to start off with a couple of pictures showing Zalen's personality in a nutshell lately. Zalen is growing up so fast and blossoming with personality all over the place. He has a mind of his own and isn't afraid to voice his opinions. This is a good thing and sometimes a bad thing. Next topic, I am 30 weeks! Woot! Woot!  Soon I will be holding my little Brody Bear! Last topic, Jim and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary today! This next section is from Jim: On a cold day in November, I put on my new button up shirt, tied my new pink neck tie, suited up with my new suit and waited anxiously for my new wife to enter the chapel. Since then, we've said "I do", moved 3 times, had a child, and made it through many other adventures. Joy  has been more than I could have hoped for in a bride, and I can't wait to enjoy the rest of our lives with her. 

Zalen is really into Jake and the Neverland Pirates, for now anyway. Just out of the blue he decided that was his favorite show. Ha! Luckily I found a good price on a pirate costume. Jim and I dressed up as skeletons to go with the pirate theme. Jim and I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.

Yes you heard me right, Zalen is officially two! Wow, where has time gone? Zalen loves so many educational things like shapes, numbers, and colors. He also loves anything that has to do with cars. I feel like my baby isn't a baby anymore and I don't know how thrilled I am that he has reached the "terrible twos" Ha! I didn't take as many pictures this birthday as I did for his first but I had fun watching him open presents and play with his balloons. I love my little Z-Man and maybe time will slow down a little more until his next birthday.  Opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa Hutchinson and a card from Mommy and Daddy. Also, I attempted to make a car cake. It looked easy on Pinterest.

AND.....It's a BOY !                                           Zalen will welcome his little brother Brody in January! Brody's first outfit from Mommy, Daddy, and Zalen. Brody Keane Hutchinson. His mouth is slightly open. He was sticking his tounge in and out while his picture was being taken. lol
